Jessica MAAREK @redrootmarketing
Founder and Social Media Maven
Jessica founded Red Root Marketing over 10 years ago in response to a need she observed in the local business communities of northern New Jersey. Small business owners needed help connecting to their customers, prospects and communities to expand their brand awareness and to get support. Jessica was able to develop a social media marketing approach, rooted deeply in creating community connections, that allowed her to bring awareness to these local businesses in an efficient and effective manner through grassroots and hyperlocal techniques.
Jessica grew up in Wisconsin, lived in France for 6 years and has been on the East Coast with her family for over 20 years. In Paris, Jessica was Quality Control Manager in a business language school and quickly learned how to market the courses being taught by over 70 teachers to C-Suite executives. Leveraging that skill on the local level in New Jersey, Jessica became event coordinator at a local coffeeshop where she orchestrated a full-scale guerrilla marketing campaign, which led her to connect with other local businesses as a Marketing and Social Media consultant. She then created her own agency and has been supporting and cheering on small businesses and nonprofits in North Jersey ever since.

Social Media Strategist
Renata was referred to Red Root by a client and brings years of experience in corporate communications, web development and graphic design. She's been a part of IT teams and worked on major website redesigns in the financial industry, in the US and abroad. Her creative mind and organization skills fit right in when she was invited to join the Red Root team in a role that combines creativity and technology.
Renata is originally from Brazil, lived a couple of years in California as a child and has called the Tri-State her home for the past 15+ years. She is now settled into the suburban life, has bought a house in Nutley, NJ with her husband Adriano and currently splits her time between work, life, PTO meetings and the many activities of her sassy 11 year-old, Stella and sweet Frenchie pup Zoe.

Social Media Specialist, Editor and Design Specialist
Sierra is a Montclair State University graduate with a BA in public and professional writing and a minor in communication and media arts. Sierra is always ready to take on new challenges! In her spare time, she enjoys reading, journaling, and spending time with family and friends. Her passions include writing, art, creating meaningful content, and being creative. Above all, Sierra is a lover of learning and enjoys trying new things!

Social Media Specialist
Kaitlyn is a Montclair State University graduate who studied business administration with a concentration in Marketing. She is currently enrolled in the 4+1 program to obtain her MBA next May. Her love for social media has grown over the past few years and she is passionate about working with local companies to help build their accounts and shine on these platforms. Through her courses at Montclair State, Kaitlyn is amassing tools and strategies to gain a better understanding of marketing in the outside world. In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys time with family and friends, shopping, and traveling.
Anthony Diaco @anthonydiaco
Social Media Specialist
Anthony graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a BA in Communications Arts with a concentration in Global Communications and Media. Anthony developed superior writing, editing, and research skills during his undergraduate studies, allowing him to graduate with high honors. In his last semester at Ramapo, he interned at Chop Sports Media, where he wrote copy, grew the team’s social media accounts, and aided in producing the company’s podcasts, live shows, original artwork, and e-commerce designs. After graduating and completing his internship, Anthony’s desire to create social media content and learn the ins and outs of the marketing industry has only grown stronger. As a results-driven and hands-on communicator, Anthony is eager to be a part of Red Root Marketing’s team, where he is motivated to help clients achieve their marketing, communication, and business goals. In his spare time, Anthony enjoys playing hockey, drawing, trying new things, and catching a New Jersey Devils game at the Prudential Center.
