Book Signing with Pat Russo and Pete Conner at The Fine Grind

  • The Fine Grind 101 Newark Pompton Turnpike Little Falls, NJ, 07424 United States (map)

Meet the authors, listen to a reading and have your book signed! Join us at TFG for a fun afternoon! The novel Another Vanishing Act is a humorous look at how one man's trouble plays out in a senior living community amid a mature cast of oddballs. It shows that even your grandparents can be both funny and surprising. The quirky residents at the Excelsior Senior Apartments keep Dan too busy to do his job. With a large gambling debt past due, he's forced to focus on coming up with the cash. Getting involved in a risky scam seems the only solution – even though he knows that it betrays the residents he wants to help. If his secret gets out, more than his thumbs will be broken. The best girlfriend he’s ever had will leave him. If he fails, he’ll either be occupying a pine box or wearing prison orange.

About the Authors

Louis “Pete” Conner is the instigator behind Another Vanishing Act. A retired engineer, Pete lives in a seniors’ apartment building in New Jersey, where he invents comic situations and dreams up characters for the fictional tale he imagined. Pete is a graduate of Georgia Tech.

Pasquale “Pat” Russo — a lifelong wiseguy — was summoned to assist his father-in-law (yes, it’s a family job) when Pete realized he couldn’t string together a coherent sentence. Pat is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism.
